An update on our Car Park

As we are sure you will all understand, costs are continually increasing, so to help us with these costs we have decided to charge a small parking fee of £3 per vehicle.

We have always been proud to provide access to the farm at no entry cost, and we want to be able to continue doing that so we hope you understand why we have decided to charge a small fee per car.

There will now be a barrier as you arrive at our car park, and you just have to tap your card or apple pay and £3 will be charged per vehicle. Thank you as always for your amazing supporter and we hope to see you soon.

Follow the Stick Man Trail at the farm!

Come and visit our fun-filled activity trail featuring the popular picture book character Stick Man. Now open at Easter Anguston Farm.

The self-guided trail is aimed at encouraging children, aged 3-7, to get outdoors and explore the natural world and find out how things grow.

We are one of a very select group of Social Farms & Gardens members in the UK that have been chosen to host a Stick Man trail. Find out more about Social Farms & Gardens via www.farmgarden.org.uk

The Stick Man trail, installed thanks to the support of Magic Light Pictures, is based on the much-loved Stick Man picture book written by Julia Donaldson and illustrated by Axel Scheffler.

CUP Café at Easter Anguston Farm

We are proud to be working with local café CUP, who now run the coffee shop at Easter Anguston Farm.

CUP, also based within Aberdeen city centre (Little Belmont Street), have refurbished the current farm cafe to offer visitors the same tea salon experience they have become popular for - serving delicious hot and cold snacks and drinks.

CUP's website and latest menu can be found here.

"We found the staff on duty to be helpful and they made us feel welcome. We also enjoyed the outdoor trails which was fully accessible for our needs. The animals were very friendly and we were also lucky to enjoy a chat with the trainees, who took time out to tell us more about the animals.

We give Easter Anguston Farm a big thumbs up and we would recommend it to others!"

Fun and Learning for Everyone

Easter Anguston Farm is an operational farm, and local community resource, which serves as a training facility for adults with learning difficulties and other additional support needs.

Situated in Peterculter, the farm has 75 acres of arable land, used as a working farm, plus 20 acres of woodland attracting visitors from across Aberdeen, Aberdeenshire and beyond.

The farm and its associated woodland, conservation and education areas provide a vital community resource that is invaluable. VSA has been welcoming families to Easter Anguston Farm for many years, thanks to your support and the voluntary donations that we receive.

EAF_VSA_5.jpg

Easter Anguston Farm operates many volunteer days; brings various groups together and forms new relationships within the community. This is an excellent springboard to get local people interested and engaged with the service, whilst teaching them about the complex learning needs of our adult trainees, as well as the countryside.

The farm is of great community benefit and is a valuable resource that can be accessed by children and adults from areas of high deprivation or regeneration across the city.

For many children, it is the first time they have experienced a family day out, nature, seen animals up close or had an opportunity to enjoy the fresh air and play parks that Easter Anguston Farm can offer.

We also have many sensory areas across the farm for children with additional support needs; developed our woodland walks to incorporate disabled access enabling children or adults with disabilities to access woodland, and connect with nature.
